Finding out you’re pregnant is a scary thing to deal with alone. I was 19 years old when I found out I was pregnant. I was scared and confused; I never dealt with anything this hard before. I didn't know who to talk to or go to for help. I was a senior in high school about to go to college. After 4 months, I finally built up the nerve to tell the father of the baby and his first reaction was, “it’s not mine”. He told me it was my problem and to take care of it.

I cried so much during my pregnancy, I couldn't tell my mom, she was very religious, and she would hate me and throw me out of her house. I waited until 20 minutes before my son was born to tell my mother. Lucky for me everything was fine, but I was scared so much. I am 23 years old now; my son will be 3 years old May 31. I am a full-time college student and I have a lot of love and support from my family. It’s hard to give up so much when you are young, but I know my son will be grateful when he is older and I love him with all my heart.
