Hi, my name is Alissaa. I am 16. I met Chris when I was fourteen. We dated for two years, then I became pregnant. He was unsure of the situation and my mom hated me. She told me if I had this baby that I had to leave her house. I was confused, alone, and the people I thought cared had ignored me the moment they found out I was pregnant. "You ruined your life, Alissaa" everyone kept saying. My boyfriend's parents told him not to let this tie him down. Make me get an abortion.

So, we all got together, my parents and his, and after 3 hours of them telling us how we will regret having a baby so young, and that we will never get to go to prom, or to parties, or graduate, they talked me into having an abortion. A week later my mom drove me, my boyfriend, and his mom four hours to the nearest abortion clinic. They took us all in a room and we watched a movie on how an abortion is done. I cried and cried. They told my mom it'll be 2 hours before I could leave. So everyone left to go eat while they waited on me to get the abortion.

I got in a nightgown, and lay on the bed. When the doctor entered the room I jumped up. "How could you even want to kill a baby? No one is killing my baby." I yelled and ran out. I sat outside and waited on my mom, boyfriend, and his mom to get back. "Did everything go ok?" they asked. "Yeah, it went fine" I said. I lied and told them I had the abortion. I hid my pregnancy under extremely baggy clothes and everyone thought it was just a reaction from me getting the abortion.

Then, at 28 weeks I started having bad cramps. My water broke at 11pm. I yelled for my mom and she came running into my room. I told her to get me to the hospital. All the way there she yelled at me for lying and not getting an abortion. Kaylee was born at 1:39 a.m. She weighed almost 2 pounds. My mom sat and cried with me as the doctors told us Kaylee probably wouldn’t make it. "I can’t believe I wanted you to kill my grandchild" my mom told me over and over.

Kaylee was in the hospital for two months and then came home. She is now 6 months old. She is the best thing that ever happened to me. Even though Chris is seldom around, we make it fine. I live in an apartment building for teens with the same problems. I have my own 2 bedroom apartment. I go to school, and have a job. I graduate in the year 2004. Abortion is murder and no one should be able to make you have one. Babies deserve a chance in the world, like everyone else. It’s not their fault we made a mistake, so we shouldn’t take it out on them. Murder is a sin, and is wrong.
