My name is Amanda. I’m 16 now. I was 13 when I found out I was pregnant. I was so scared. My boyfriend was 14 at the time. We were both so confused. So, we decided to keep it a secret for a month or so and then tell our parents. Well, I wrote him a letter asking him what we should do and my mom happened to find it. Oh my gosh! When she asked me if I was pregnant I was shocked. I was in a panic and said "no". So, I rushed to the phone to call my boyfriend. He was also in a panic when I told him. My mom called his mom and we went to buy a pregnancy test. It was positive. My parents and his parents were both angry with us. The weeks went by and now we have a 2 year old baby girl named Andi.

My boyfriend and I are still together and we plan to marry in a few years. Our daughter is so beautiful. She is the light of my life. I couldn’t imagine life without her. My boyfriend and I are currently finishing high school and still going strong. My advice to all you soon to be mothers is stay strong. People are out there to help you and there are plenty of families who want to adopt if you’re just not quite ready for a little one. Don’t give up.
