I am on the front lines of the abortion controversy almost every weekend. I am 19, and a trained sidewalk counselor. I stand outside of the Planned Parenthood and abortion mills and try to talk to girls as they are walking in to have abortions. One very disturbing factor of the abortion industry is the escorts that "walk" the girls up to the door. These people are vicious. I have been body-checked into walls, cursed at, and bumped violently. They are aggressively physical with our counselors, and then call the police on us. These escorts are hateful and nasty to our peaceful pro-life movement.

Sometimes, 3 or 4 will form a blockade around a girl, and sing or talk loudly so the girl cannot hear me. I know very well that we all have free will to make decisions, but what I do not understand is, why girls have to be herded into abortion mills away from caring and educated counselors. When the girls come out scared and depressed the escorts are long gone. It is the caring and loving pro-life counselor that waits outside to bring her a message of hope and mercy.
