I am 17 years old. I was 16 when I got pregnant. I felt like that was the worst thing in my life. I never felt so bad. I was a "B" "C" student in high school. My parents trusted me. I had been with my boyfriend since I was 12 and when I got to high school we decided to take our relationship a little farther since we were older. I was 16 at the time. I got pregnant. I did not know how to tell my parents.

I was three months when I woke my mother up at 5:00 a.m. in the morning and told her I was pregnant. She did not fuss at me or anything. I was in shock. In fact, she did not speak to me for a few days. I cried every day because I knew I hurt my mother. I wanted to have an abortion, but I also wanted my child. As my belly grew I started falling in love with my unborn child.

My boyfriend, on the other hand, did not want a child at all. He wanted me to have an abortion because he wasn't ready for a child. So we broke-up when I was 4 months. That really hurt me because he was my first boyfriend and my first love. As time was drawing near for my due date I decided to call him to see if he wanted to be in our child's life. He said no. A few days later I had the baby. It was a beautiful baby girl. I cried tears of joy. I could not believe I wanted to give up my baby.

Two months went by and her father decided to come see her. Now, she's the love of his life. She is so smart. She does a lot of funny things. She’s the love of my life. In the end everything worked out great. My mother and I have a close and open relationship now. My baby's father and I aren't together as of now but he is a great father to our child. Everyone is happy. So to all young girls in the world; don't give up! Everyone goes through problems. You just have to try and handle them correctly. Abortion is not the answer, life is.
