I had just turned 16 when I found out I was pregnant with my son, Jacob. My cousin was also 16 when she got pregnant and she and I are really close. So, scared to tell my parents, I went to her. I flat out told her and she told me the best thing to do was tell my parents. I asked her if she thought I should get an abortion and she said if I did I would never forgive myself. So, scared to death, she went with me and I told my parents.

Turns out they weren’t as mad as I thought they were going to be. They said that they were supportive of me and they weren't going to look down on me about it. My son is now two weeks old and he is beautiful! I constantly thank my cousin for not letting me get an abortion. I know that if I had, I would never forgive myself. And Jacobs’s father, my parents, and my family wouldn't either.
