I finally came to terms with the pregnancy when family members started to notice a change in my appearance. It was an "Either you tell her, or I will," kind of situation. I told my mother. That was the hardest thing I ever had to do. To my surprise she was not angry with me, just disappointed that I didn't trust her enough to tell her. I gave birth to a baby girl a week and a half later. My family was overjoyed when she arrived. All the worry and pressure was all out the window. Now, I am 21 and currently in college. My daughter is now 6. My advice to anyone reading this is to follow your heart. It will always lead you in the right direction. And to never let anyone tell you that you will never amount to anything because you have a baby. That kind of talk is what leads me to strive harder than the rest, and accomplish all of the goals I set forth for my daughter and myself.
